“…a certain tract or parcel of land [in Craven County] on the South side of Neuse River and adjoining Core Creek. Beginning at a cypress in a pond, the beginning of the land that was allotted to William Fonvielle, that his brother Thomas Fonvielle died possessed with, and runs North… then south… west to the great branch, thence down various courses of said branch to Core Creek, then down the various courses of said Creek till a South course will strike the beginning, containing [200 acres], which land William Jones my father willed to his three sons: Asa, Thomas, and William Jones, and I William Jones do now sell [83 acres] out of the said tract. Also [50 acres] lying out of a patent granted to William Jones bearing date [22 December 1813] No. 1270…”
