- Grantee (Buyer): John Morris, Planter, of Craven County, Province of North Carolina
- Consideration (Purchase Price): 80 pounds Proclamation Money
- Property Size: 115 acres total (consisting of two adjoining tracts: one of 25 acres and one of 90 acres)
Property Location & Description
The land is situated in Craven County, North Carolina, on the North side of the Neuse River and on the upper side of Dawson’s Creek.
- Tract 1 (25 Acres): The westernmost part of Richard Graves’ old patent. It begins at Thomas Headdy’s corner on the side of Dawson’s Creek, runs to James Roberts’ corner of his new patent, and extends to the “Gutt” (waterway) where James Roberts formerly lived. This gutt serves as the boundary dividing this land from land sold to Christopher Neale.
- Tract 2 (90 Acres): The westernmost part of James Roberts’ new patent “whereon he formerly lived.” The boundary runs along the 25-acre tract line, Headdy’s line, reaches a pine, then goes to a “litewood” tree at Randolph Fisher’s corner, and follows Fisher’s line back to the easternmost branch of the aforementioned gutt binding on Christopher Neale’s land.
