“…a certain tract or parcel of land [in Craven County] on the North side of Neuse River and West side of Smith’s Creek beginning at a sweet gum the third corner of Lamberson’s patent, now Shipp’s corner, thence reversing Shipp’s line south … to a red oak on the main public road Lincoln’s corner thence with said road to a pine in Fulsher’s line, thence with his other line East to a pine the beginning corner of another patent, thence down a branch & gut Lincoln’s line to Smith’s Creek, and thence with said Creek to the beginning containing by estimation [170 acres]…
