“… a certain tract of land [Craven County] on the north side of Bay River and west side of Smith’s Creek, Beginning at a sweet gum, the 3rd corner of Lamberson’s patent now Shipp’s corner, thence reverse said line (which is Shipp’s line) to a red oak on the public road Lincoln’s corner, thence with said road to a pine in Fulsher’s line, thence with his other line East to a pine a beginning corner of another patent, then down a branch and gut Lincoln’s line to Smith’s Creek, to the beginning…”
