“…a certain tract or parcel of land [in Craven County] on the west side of Core Creek near Greens Mills beginning at a pine below the said Mills then south… to a stake then North… to a line formerly Solomon Beesley’s line then along said line North 26 East 180 pole to a pine said Beesley’s corenr then along his line North 80 East 26 poles to the little glade branch then down the various courses of said branch to the Creek Swamp then up the Creek Swamp to the beginning containing [100 acres]… which land was granted by patent to Furnifold Green and Richard Nixon July 22nd 1774 reserving all timber suitable for said Mills on said land also reserving one acre of lands where the chapel now stands for the use of worship. Also one other tract or parcel of land adjoining the aforesaid tract beginning at a pine in the line formerly Solomon Beasley’s and runs … to a stake then … to a small branch… then with said branch to said Morris’ line of the land he bought of Benjamin Beesley, then with said line…. to the beginning containing [97 acres]…”
