“…a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in [Craven County] and South side of Neuse River and east side of Core Creek beginning at a white oak on the upper side of a branch and lower side of Core Creek running No 30 Wt the reverse of Joseph Leech line untill it intersects with Thomas Sprigg’s line then with said Sprigg’s line South 32 West to the grate branch then the various courses of said branch to the run of Core Creek then the various courses of said creek to the beginning so as to contain all the lands on the lower side of Core Creek and lower side of the grate branch commonly called Nuns branch & joining the patented lands of Thomas Spriggs containing [207 acres] which said land was patented by George Stringer and part by Robert Taylor and Ebenezer Slade
