Note: Estate information for this Morris family reveals that Thomas was the son of Nathan Morris (d. 1801), son of John Morris. Circumstances suggest John had a daughter who had married a Lewis and William Lewis was a son of that union, but William’s mother had likely either passed away or moved away by the time that John Morris made a deed of gift to his son, Nathan, and grandson, William Lewis, in 1797.
