NOTE: The deed actually says John Biggs and Wiley Biggs in the first part of the deed description, but it talks about Riggs Creek. Wiley Riggs had a brother named John Riggs and a William Morris is witness to Wiley Riggs’s will, suggesting some connection either as neighbors or family. At the end of the deed, the names are signed Wiley Riggs and John Riggs, not Biggs.

“John Riggs (or John Biggs) and Wiley Riggs (or Wiley Biggs) for £30 … set over unto the said Moses Morris … a certain tract or parcel of land … on the South Side of Rigges Creek beginning at a marked pine standing on the Creek side running thence westerly to a pine a corner tree thence North to a gum standing in a glade thence easterly to a pine standing on the lower side of Savanna Creek making out the aforesaid Creek thence to the main creek at the mouth of the said little creek thence with the creek up to the first station containing one hundred acres be the same more or less…”
