“… a certain tract of land [in Craven County, 30 acres], beginning at a white oak in the swamp in the line that parts Benjamin White acres and sd Carruthers land and runs along line… to a holly a corner of said Carruthers patent then along the line of the pattent … to a gum then running a direct course to the back line to conclude thirty acres of land.”
