“…one tract part or parcel of land situate … in Dover neck in [Craven County] beginning at a pine near Flat Swamp the beginning Tree of George Stringer Junr. Patent bearing date the 26 November 1764 thence the reverse Course to the Given Line of the said patent to the line of said Stringers Former Patent thence with the Former patent line to a pine the dividing line between sd George & John Stringer then with the said Dividing Line to the Corner on Moseley’s Creek then witht he same to the Dividing Line lately made which runs So 38 E to a read oak near Flat Swamp then to the Beginning it being a moiety of the land purchased by sd Kent of Robert Reynolds and deed bearing date 1767 being all the said Land on the No Est side of the said line of Marked Trees that runs So 38 E from Mosely”s Creek to the red oak near Flat Swamp containing by estimation one hundred and twenty acres…”
